Dr. Krista Vince Garland

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Originally from Orlando, Florida, Dr. Krista Vince Garland earned her degree in Exceptional Education at the University of Central Florida.

 

Her professional interests include the use of technology and simulation in teacher preparation, autism spectrum disorders, severe/profound disabilities, behavior management, and single subject research. Krista has taught a wide range of students with exceptionalities from kindergarten through eighth grades, across a continuum of educational settings, including facilitation, resource, and self-contained classrooms.

 

Dr. Vince Garland frequently consults and speaks at national conferences and is actively involved in several professional organizations, including the Council for Exceptional Children, where she is a board member of the Teacher Education Division Professional Development Committee, the Technology and Media Division Publications Committee, and the Educators with Disabilities Caucus. She is also an active member of the CEC Division of Autism and Developmental Disabilities, the Council of Children with Behavioral Disorders, Autism Research Institute, and Best Buddies.

 

 

Dr. Sharon Raimondi

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sharon L. Raimondi, Ph.D., who joined the faculty at Buffalo State College in1992, received her doctorate from American University. She presently directsthe Joint Doctoral Program in Special Education operated by both UB andBuffalo State College. In addition to teaching courses in the doctoralprogram at UB, she directs a U.S. Department of Education grant designed toincrease the number of leaders in the field of special education. Dr.Raimondi works with the Buffalo Public Schools on several initiatives alldesigned to improve the outcomes of students with disabilities or those atrisk of failure. She is also interested in helping teachers developuniversally designed instruction (UDL) and implement effective instruction.
